I read this yesterday, and the rumored iPhone 5 coming in Sept 21st was already out there. This just confirms the public’s suspicions on that date.
Of course, the real question is will the iPhone 5 be worth the price? I’ve noticed that features in other phones come later to Apple, but when it does come, people seem to act like it’s new. Like recording video, 8 MP camera, Videochat, certain apps and features, etc. It’s odd to be sure, but it also demonstrates the power of marketing and mob mentalities.

Although this hasn’t been verified, it is likely that the iPhone 5 will feature 4G LTE connectivity. Azonban, it is important to keep in mind that there are bound to be flaws with the LTE system, as was the case with the new iPad that launched in March. The issue lies in the fact that not every network uses the same network, and it is unclear how many networks the iPhone 5 will be able to support when it is released.

But for Everything Everywhere, this may not be as problematic. According to Cult of Mac, the rest of the 4G networks that will launch in the U.K. will features frequencies of 800MHz and 2.6GHz early next year. The network that Everything Everywhere uses will be at a frequency of 1800MHz, which is the same band used by other 4G networks across Europe and Australia.
If Apple plans to extend its 4G network, which is a likely move by the Cupertino, Calif.-based company, this is likely to be one of the frequencies that the device is compatible with.
Azonban, the speedier network may not be as important to some Apple consumers. A new survey has found that nearly half of Americans feel that 4G LTE is not necessary for the iPhone 5.
Investment firm Piper Jaffray surveyed 3,000 individuals according to Apple Insider, the results of which were released in a research note that was published on Wednesday by analyst Christopher M. Larsen. The survey found that 47 percent of consumers feel that they don’t need 4G TE, and another 26 percent voted that they feel all 4G LTE network technologies are the same.
It also seems that smartphone users in the United States are unaware of the quality of 4G LTE networks across the country. The survey also asked consumers which carrier provides the best 4G LTE connectivity, és 51 percent indicated that they didn’t know which service provider had the best.
It was also recently reported that Apple has been negotiating with two mobile carriers in Korea to provide the iPhone 5 through their 4G LTE networks. Officials from SK Telecom and KT allegedly revealed this information earlier in August, CNET reported.
“KT is in negotiation with Apple to persuade the latter to support KT’s 1.8 gigahertz frequency in Korea for the upcoming iPhone,” a senior KT executive said to the Korea Times. A KT spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.
Support for 4G LTE is only one of the many rumored features that users expect to see in Apple’s iPhone 5. Below is a roundup of the expected features that are said to appear on the next-generation Apple handset.
Apple’s iPhone 5 is rumored for a release date next month on Sept. 21, with an announcement coming just nine days earlier on Sept. 12. The company has yet to confirm this news, but rumors and speculation have increased as more clues seem to surface.
On Tuesday it was reported that a “trusted Verizon employee” told Tech Crunch that the carrier would be having an all-staff vacation blackout from Sept. 21 through Sept. 30. Last week, it was also reported that ATT was preparing for the iPhone 5 kiadás dátuma. A source allegedly told BGR that the carrier was planning on launching the next-generation iPhone in the third or fourth week of September.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — If you’re looking to trade in your “old” iPhone for cash, there’s no better time than right now.
Rumors are rampant that Apple (AAPL, Fortune 500) will announce the iPhone 5 on September 12, with a release date soon after that. But if you want to offset the cost of your new phone by scoring the highest value possible for your old one, trade-in experts say you’ll need to lock in your trade now — before everyone else gets the same idea.
“We always get a rush of people who wait to get a quote until they have the new [iPhone] in their hands,” said Jeff Trachsel, the chief marketing officer for trade-in service NextWorth. “But as the volume increases, the value of your phone declines.”
Trading in now will help you avoid that rush and score more cash. Most trade-in services simply ask for you details about your device, like its storage size and condition, and offer up a price that’s guaranteed for 3 weeks to a month. In turn, the companies typically refurbish and resell the devices.
Smart traders play arbitrage: Lock in a price now, then wait until you have the new phone in hand to actually send in your old model.
Old iPhones hold their value remarkably well. At NextWorth, a 16 GB iPhone 4S in good condition currently fetches $274. Rival site Gazelle is offering $277 for an ATT phone or $260 for a Verizon or Sprint device.
Go one model older, to the iPhone 4, and you can fetch $175 at NextWorth for an ATT phone or $162 for a Verizon phone. Gazelle will pay $160 to $165.
Demand for the latest, hottest iPhone has been a boon for those resellers, since some consumers upgrade their iPhones every year when the new model is announced.
Joe McKeown, a marketing vice president at ReCellular, said consumers typically traded in their “flip” feature phones about every 36 months. In the smartphone era, that’s declined to 16-18 months, he said.
“Consumers are aware of that change, and they know they need to move quickly to get value,” McKeown said. “Two weeks from now, we’ll probably see lower value.”
Anthony Scarsella, the “chief gadget officer” at Gazelle, said iPhone 4S prices have been “very stable” over the last few weeks. But he doesn’t expect that to last.
The day new iPhones are announced “is kind of like our Black Friday,” Scarsella said. “No question, the earlier you trade in, the more you get ahead of that volume, the better off you are. It’s basically a fact that prices will dip heading into the announcement.”
Significant changes to a new iPhone tend to make the old models’ value fall a bit more than usual, Scarsella said. Az iPhone 5 is rumored to have a redesigned body style.
Gazelle is extending its usual 30-day price lock-in for this iPhone cycle, the company announced Monday. Customers who get a quote between now and August 31 will have until October 1 to send in the phone.
Gazelle, ReCellular and NextWorth all said the iPhone ranks No. 1 for their most traded-in device. An up-and-coming but still distant second is the Samsung Galaxy line.
But the iPhone is unlikely to be dethroned any time soon, said NextWorth’s Trachsel: “It’s the perfect storm: a big carrier subsidy, strong residual value, and incredible consumer demand. Nothing else comes close.”

Apple talks iPhone 5 LTE with Korean carriers
Reports surrounding Apple’s iPhone 5 have intensified in recent weeks, and with more hardware leaks surfacing, it appears the smartphone’s release is closing fast.
With reports that ATT, Verizon, and German carrier Mobilcom Debitel, are gearing up for the September 21 launch of the iPhone 5, it was only a matter of time until more concrete evidence surfaced.
We already heard the dock connector would be getting smaller, but new images seem to prove that the iPhone 5 will come with a new sync/charging cable.
While the cable will still come with a standard-size male USB end, Apple appears to be ditching the 30-pin connector in favor of a much smaller 8-pin connector on the opposite side.
Though the images of the cable certainly fit in line with what we expect Apple’s iPhone accessories to look like, there are still a few questions about the new cable.
There are indications Apple will sell an adapter for the new 8-pin end so the iPhone 5 will still work with many of the older 30-pin accessories previously sold.
Additionally, it’s reported the 8-pin end may be a MagSafe connection, similar to those on the new MacBooks, which would make it much easier to snap the cable into place.
Whether this new cable will also find its way into other iOS devices such as the iPad Mini, or even refreshes of the iPod Touch and new iPad, remains to be seen.
Regardless of whether this leaked photo ends up being real or not, we’ll find out soon enough during Apple’s September 12 event.

As noted by TechCrunch on Tuesday, Augusztus 21, 2012, a trusted Verizon employee confirmed to them that they will be having an all-staff vacation blackout from September 21 to September 30, 2012; and that September 21 is likely to be the iPhone 5 kiadás dátuma.
“The next iPhone, whether it’s called the iPhone 5 or simply the new iPhone, will almost certainly be available in stores (with lines wrapping around the back of them) starting Friday, September 21.” TechCrunch‘s Jordan Crook wrote.
“If we travel back a bit and examine the historical timeline from Apple‘s announcement, to pre-order, to launch, the dates all seem to match up.” Crook added, noting that Apple announced the iPhone 4S on a October 4, 2012, which fell on Tuesday, and was made available in stores on October 14, Friday.
As being rumored earlier, there will be an Apple event this coming September 12, where the iPhone 5 (others say it will be simply called the new iPhone) will be announced, along with announcement of iPad mini and a revamped iPod nano.
As of this writing, Apple has not yet released any official statement on their new iPhone and its specs, but is being believed to have a 3.75″ display and will measure around 123.9 mm long; and that its Jack port was moved in the lower left corner of the device, which was at the upper left corner in the previous versions.

“It’s not like this milestone is a marketshare win … It’s a market-creation activity. If you create markets, you return growth to the company, and that’s what Apple has consistently done with products like the iPod and the iPad. With the new products like the iPhone 5 and the iPad mini that are rumored to hit in September, there’s more upside to the stock because more markets will be made for Apple to gain share of.”

Apple has launched the iPhone 4S on October 14 A 2011. This timing was actually not ideal as Apple struggled to meet demand and shipping times quickly have risen. If the rumors are true, Apple is smarter this time around. Apple is rumored to announce the iPhone 5 on September 12. The pre-order period would start on the same day and the iPhone 5 release date is supposed to be on September 21.
If September 21 is true than Apple has a full three month until Christmas to sell iPhone 5 devices. It should also give them enough time to catch up with demand before Christmas. For a high demand product like the iPhone, September is just the best month for release. Summer has come to an end and there is plenty of time to make the most out of the Holiday shopping season.

With the launch of the iPhone 5 expected to be exactly one month from now, more pictures of the rumored phone have hit the Web.
IResQ, an Apple repair site that last week put up these pictures of what are believed to be the next iPhone and iPad mini’s dock connector and headphone jacks, has put up more pictures of the parts.
But this time, iResQ said it put the dock connector and headphone jack parts into another part that is believed to be used in the sixth generation: the frame. And the company said the two parts fit nearly perfectly.
“One of our technicians was even able to screw the assembly into the pre-aligned screw holes inside of the frame,” the company said in a blog post. “All of the threading and screw holes lined up perfectly with the screw holes in then docking port/headphone jack assembly.”
Meanwhile, uBreakiFix, another product repair site, also put pictures of another supposed iPhone 5 part, in this case being the phone’s front panel and screen.
You can see that image over at MacRumors, which notes that although we’ve seen images of what is believed to be the iPhone 5′s front panel, we hadn’t yet seen the panel with its screen already built in.
The next iPhone is widely expected to be announced Sept. 12 with pre-sales starting immediately. The phone, though, won’t actually launch until Sept. 21, according to various reports.
